President Of The Jury. Doctor in Literature, with a mention in Chilean and Hispanic-American Literature from the Chile University. He is currently Director and Professor of the Department of Expression of the Faculty of Liberal Arts of the Aldolfo Ibáñez University (UAI). His areas of research are fantasy and terror as aesthetic manifestations in literature, film and television. He is also a critic in the press network biobiochile.cl. Since 2015 he has been a member of the Fantastic Studies Group (GEF) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Degree in Linguistics Applied to the Translation of English and Japanese from the University of Santiago de Chile (USACH). She has also trained as an actress and carries out activities as a model of photography. She has lived in Chile and Spain. She is one of the protagonists of “Trauma”, a Chilean horror film of great international success, and is currently co-writer and actress of the short film “Contagium” that will be part of the anthological film “ILL” that will be released in Europe during the second semester of 2019.
He studied Visual Arts with a mention in Painting at the University of Chile. He worked as an animator in several series and films, and then directed some advertisements and short films. During the 4th FIXION-SARS, with his animated short film “Trapalanda”, he won the awards for Best Chilean Short Film granted by both the Jury and the Public. He is currently the father of Julia and Laura, and works as a teacher of Art, Cinema and Rock in the city of Talca.

Vice-President of the Jury. She studied journalism, language, German literature and cultural studies in Romania and Germany. In 2004 she started working at the Berlin International Film Festival, first in the Panorama section and later in the International Competition section. Responsible for 8 years of film affairs at the Romanian Cultural Institute in Berlin. Since 2009 she is the director of the Timishort Film Festival, short film festival in Timisoara, Romania. She also collaborated in several European film festivals such as Seret International Galway Film Fleadh or Cottbus Film Festival. Since 2019 she has been the programming coordinator of SANFIC (Santiago International Film Festival).
He made his directorial debut with the film “El Cordero,” starring Daniel Muñoz, participating in various international festivals and winning best director at SANFIC in 2014. In 2016 he filmed “Martín, el Hombre y la Leyenda,” a series written by Rodrigo Cuevas that premiered on the Mega channel in 2018 and became the second most watched series on Chilean television. This year he is preparing his second film, “La Carola”, which will be filmed in the Atacama Desert.
Scriptwriter, director, playwright, novelist, academic, essayist and publisher, he has written the novels “Karaoke Trilogy” (Cuarto Propio, 2007) and ” The Great Wild God” (Planeta, 2009), he has also written and directed the works “Collect or Paid” (2013/2014 Sala Ladrón de Bicicletas), “Tender” (2014/2015, Sala Ladrón de Bicicletas), ” Sacred Cow” (2015, Teatro Diana) and “Medea” (2015/2016, Sidarte) with the latter participates in the Festival “Women To The Boards” in Neuquén (September 2017), as well as with a tour to Mexico through four cities in October of that year. He also writes and directs “Alameda” (2017, Teatro Mori), in 2018 he published his first theatrical trilogy with Voz Ajena Ediciones.
